04.13.23 – Today, I make a promise to myself to fully let go and Trust God and this Universe to guide me through this next chapter. I’m excited.

12.19.23 Update – Since we’ve sold our home, these last couple months being nomadic have been very fun. We got to experience living in Oregon, Mexico, and Costa Rica! Looking forward to this next year living in SoCal to be closer to my family! Some of the highlights were:

Oregon – Out of all the cities we visited, my favorite was Bend, a small city on the Deschutes River. It was the perfect balance of nature and city life with a charming Wednesday farmers market & delightful organic options, such as Active Culture (nourishing colorful salads with amazing dressings) & Blissful Spoons (scrumptious bakery with gluten-free pastries). As we explored Bend, I couldn’t help but envision future family trips, especially during the summer season. The warm weather and stunning natural landscapes provide the perfect backdrop for family adventures. I am really looking forward to being able to share this experience with our future child!

Mexico – Although there were many beautiful settings along the Yucatán, I don’t think I could live here long term due to the lack of organic food/healthy food options. However, one of the highlights of our trip was spending time at The Bacalar Lagoon. The tranquil fresh waters of the lagoon provided the perfect setting for swimming and relaxation, that was much different than the waves of the oceans. We entered The Lagoon through Laguna Bonanza, where you can rent kayaks and have peaceful swim in the openess of the Lagoon without being too crowded.

Costa Rica – Visiting this country has been a long-awaited dream on my bucket list, and I am very thankful for the opportunity to make it a reality! Watching a lot of YouTube videos by some of my favorite yogis, I was filled with anticipation, imaging lush jungles, wild animals everywhere and an abundance of organic fruits. I loved being able to witness animals roam freely in their natural habitat, the toucan and sloth were so adorable and seeing mama turtles lay eggs was such a magical experience! However there was not as much organic fruits/veggies as I thought there would be. One of our main objectives of the trip was to see if Costa Rica was a place we could consider raising our family. We drove around majority of the country & visited lots & lots of potential properties. My husband dreams of being able to grow a food forest, I on the other hand prefer more convenience and a sense of community. Our compromise was to see if we could find an eco village that checked off both of our wants. We visited Alegria Village and La Ecovilla, both had a lot of positive attributes but our favorite was Rise (a family centered community built around entrepreneurship and organic living).
